How Does Bin Hire Work?

How Does Bin Hire Work?

Given we have all been spending more time at home, it’s only natural that we will have created more waste. Some of us may have even been productive in sorting out the garage, decluttering the house or getting stuck into the garden. While these activities are great for your home and keeping occupied, they tend to generate a lot of unwanted waste and rubbish.

If you’re looking for a quick and easy way to get rid of your rubbish; whether it’s household junk, renovation waste, garden waste, or old furniture, then bin hire is a great option.

4 Waste Walk-In Skip Bins is a specialist skip bin company that services Brisbane Southside, so you know, bin hire is our bag! We know the ins and outs of bin hire. Still, we’re well aware that many Brisbane residents and customers alike, may not be familiar with bin hire and the process in which it involves.

Thus, today I thought it would be a good idea to provide a step-by-step overview of how bin hire works.  Not only will this help you understand our bin hire service, but it will also enlighten you on where your rubbish ends up.

Step One: Placing an order

The first step in bin hire is to place an order for a bin. The process is relatively simple. You need only submit your personal details, the delivery address, the date of the delivery, and select the bin size you require.

If you’re unsure what bin size you need, please refer to my previous post, ‘What Size Skip Bin Do I Need’.

Step Two: Delivery

Once the order is placed, delivery is the next step in the bin hire process. The bin will be delivered to the address submitted with the order. Plan the delivery location ahead of time, so the driver knows where to place the bin once they arrive.

Step Three: Loading

The next step in the bin hire process is loading with the bin delivered. Each bin hire comes with a standard hire period; with 4 Waste Walk-In Skip Bins, it is a 7-day hire. This means customers have six full days to load the bin with their rubbish and waste. It is collected on the fifth day.

Step Four: Collection

When the hire period is up, the bins are collected by a driver to be taken to a local waste treatment facility to be processed. 4 Waste Walk-In Skip Bins endeavour to deliver waste/rubbish to the correct facility to maximise recycling and minimise landfill.

Step Five: Processing

Once the waste/rubbish is delivered to the waste treatment facility, it is then processed accordingly. Organic/green waste is turned into compost, recyclable waste is taken to a recycling facility to be recycled, and all other waste ends up in landfill.

Conclusion

For household junk, renovation waste, garden waste, or old furniture, etc., there’s no better way to get rid of your rubbish than bin hire.

The process of bin hire is quite simple; an order is placed for a bin, which is then delivered to the request address. The bin remains at the address for the duration of the hire period. During this time, the customer can load the bin with their waste/rubbish. At the end of the hire period, the bin is collected by the bin hire company, where it is then taken to a nearby waste management plant to be sorted and processed.

Organic/green waste is turned into compost, recyclable waste is taken to a recycling facility to be recycled, and all other waste ends up in landfill.

Now that you understand the bin hire process, we welcome you to place an order with 4 Waste Walk-In Skip Bins. Our skip bins offer hassle-free bin hire where you can actually walk directly into the bin for easy, effortless loading.
